The Schwebach Farm Market is a destination to enjoy. If you have never been out our way, take a drive to the country and visit our store. In the Farm Market you will find our fresh (harvested that morning) selection of vegetables. Our family along with our harvesting crew rise in the early hours of the morning in order to hand pick sweet corn and other vegetables for the Farm Market each day. The vegetable selection grows each week. We also offer a nice selection of local products. Don't forget to get your roasted sweet corn on the weekends! Visit the Farm Market page for a list of the current produce and local product selection. We hope to see you at the Farm Market soon!
The time we anticipate all season had finally arrived... HARVEST TIME!!! The opening of the Schwebach Farm Market, harvesting of garden vegetables and sweet corn has begun. We are sending out to new locations daily. Visit the Harvest Availability page for all locations where our produce is going. We are growing a little more a of a new bi-color variety called Extra Tender. We enjoyed it last year and thought we would grow a little of it this year. Let us know how you like it. We have also begun harvesting our white sweet corn variety, Ice Queen.
Sweet Corn is being sent to several roadside locations and NM Farmers' Markets. We harvest fresh vegetables daily and fill our Farm Market with them. We also send a full selection of vegetables to the following NM Farmers' Markets: Edgewood FM, Cedar Crest FM and The NE Heights Farmers' and Artisans' Market. You can visit http://www.farmersmarketsnm.org/ for more information on these and all local markets. We look forward to serving you and seeing you this harvest season. As always, our sweet corn is non-GMO.
While the cooler weather and moisture are a tremendous blessing, they inevitably slow down the growth of the sweet corn. We have sweet corn available at the Farm Market as of today, August 1, 2013. The variety we are first picking is a trial from last year. It is a bi-color that is sweet and tender. If you get to try some, let us know how you like it.
It was a wet harvest this morning. We managed to get sweet corn, summer squash, green beans, carrots, potatoes, beets, lettuce and swiss chard in the Farm Market. Please continue to visit the website and the blog for updates.
